What does a check up include?
On your first visit, a complete health history will be taken to provide us with a broad understanding of your individual needs.
What else is include?
- Your dentist may take an x-ray of your teeth
- Complete a comprehensive examination of your mouth, teeth & gums
- Examination of the health of the soft tissue in your mouth (cheeks & tongue)
- Test your gums for any signs of gum disease
- Remove any plaque or harmful tartar
- Alongside teeth cleaning and oral health analysis your dentist will offer mouth cancer screening
- Provide advice and guidance on continued and improved you dental care regime
What to Expect
On your first visit, a complete health history will be taken to provide us with a broad understanding of your individual needs. Your dentist may take an x-ray of your teeth. An x-ray can be invaluable for ascertaining the current landscape of your jaw, for example the position of any wisdom teeth, and for diagnosing any issues that may otherwise go unnoticed.
At every check up, your Ashburton dentist will perform a comprehensive examination of your mouth, teeth and gums. They will examine the health of the soft tissue in your mouth (cheeks and tongue), test your gums for any signs of gum disease and remove any plaque or harmful tartar.
